Sal is originally from New Jersey, where he attended The College of New Jersey and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in English and Secondary Education while playing on the college’s club ice hockey team. After graduating, Sal interned in the Campus Ministry Department at his alma mater, Saint Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he helped organize retreats, community service events, and food drives. From 2017-2019 Sal was enrolled in the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education program where he earned his Master’s Degree in Education while teaching 5th grade at Saint Elizabeth School. After his time in ACE, Sal returned to Jersey City to teach 5th grade English and Social Studies at Our Lady of Czestochowa School. Sal is excited to be returning to the Bay Area and thrilled to be teaching Freshman English and AP Literature. Outside of the classroom, Sal is a huge fan of soccer and hockey; loves to run, golf, and read; and is trying his best to learn Spanish!
