Monday Morning Motivation – First day of work !
Starting a first job can be nerve-racking. Freshmen often feel pressure to meet expectations, answer questions they’re unsure about, and live up to the trust placed in them.
One of our students put it best:
“I always dreamed of having a job, but when the first day actually came, my stomach felt like a blender. Starting work is brand new and can be overwhelming—but I’ve realized the only thing that can stop me from doing great is myself and my mentality. Thanks to all the preparation CWSP gave us—like Career Day, where we practiced presenting ourselves professionally—I know I’m ready.” Stephany RA Class of 2029
Today, the Class of 2029 takes their first steps into the Corporate Work Study Program, where they’ll grow in confidence, skill, and professional maturity. We are so proud of their courage, and so grateful to the partners who open doors
for them.
President Stephen Murphy offers some words of wisdom for our students on their first day of work!
