English Teacher

Annika is a 5th-generation Oaklander with a deep love for the Bay and for education. Having graduated from Wellesley College in Boston, MA, she has her BA in cognitive & linguistic sciences and studied political sociology as well. She is a lifelong learner who has spent a lot of time entrenched (in a good way) in academics and research at Wellesley, MIT, and Oxford. She is enthusiastic about continuing her CRDLS journey and is looking forward to teaching ninth-grade English. If Annika isn’t in school, she’s likely in the water or the forest or nearby one of the two, and most definitely has a good book and good food in her immediate vicinity. A fun fact is that she once created her own language – ask her about it!
