History/Social Science Teacher

Eduardo Valencia graduated from Georgetown University in Washington D.C with a double major in Government and English and a minor in the Education, Inquiry and Justice program. The first in his family to go to college, Eduardo focused his studies on education policy and equity. A Bay Area native, he interned at Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi’s Office on Capitol Hill. During the summers, Eduardo worked as a teaching fellow for the Magis Program at St. Ignatius College Preparatory, San Francisco, where he co-taught Ethnic Studies classes. Fresh off of revamping Cristo Rey’s Admissions Department, Eduardo now steps into the classroom to teach social studies. He hopes to build a rigorous college-prep Ethnic Studies curriculum, and bring his Government experience to support our students as they continue in their journey towards college.
