Interim Counseling Department Chair

Dennise Villalpando is a bilingual First-Generation Latina and Bay Area native who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Ms. Villalpando received her Bachelor’s degree from Holy Names University and her Masters in Counselor Education and PPS Credential from San Jose State University. Ms. Villalpando comes from La Familia Counseling Services where she held the position of a Case Manager providing services and resources to the Developmental Disabilities community. She has gained experience and a passion for helping students reach their academic, college, and career goals through internship experience in the Hayward and New Haven School District. As the College counselor at Cristo Rey de La Salle, she is dedicated to guiding students on their college journey by exposing students to college campuses, careers, and professions through field trips, workshops, and connecting students to professionals in their field of interest. Ms. Villalpando is always available for questions, chit chats, and sweets!
