My name is April Laks, I am an educator with a focus in social emotional learning. I am a recent graduate from UC Santa Cruz. My goal is to create a dynamic learning environment, inspire youth to find their passions, build community, and become advocates for themselves and those around them. I will be creating a social entrepreneurship course next year that allows students to work on real world projects in their communities, and partnering with nonprofits to build their portfolio and resume and gain hands-on experience.
